SINGAPORE - Parents’ contributions to their child’s matrimonial home are usually viewed as a gift to both spouses unless there is convincing evidence to show otherwise.
In a recent dispute, a man claimed he should be entitled to a bigger share of the couple’s $9.3 million assets because his relatives had helped to pay $360,000 for their first home.
